“The Bridge House, Ambleside ”
(Please click on the image to take a closer look at this artwork)
An iconic building of the English Lake District, the Bridge House at Ambleside dates back to the 17th century and was originally built as an apple store. Throughout the ages it has served as a counting house, a tea-room, a weaver’s cottage, a cobbler’s, a chair maker’s and allegedly, home to a family of eight! This was a very early work of mine.
Original painting in watercolour & ink by Peggy-Dot (2022)
